Our conference poster is now available for download in .pdf form. Please feel free to download, print, and post it in your department.
Copied below is an email sent by Prof. F. Pellarin to current participants of our conference in Pisa. To reiterate, neither the organizers nor the CRM have sent out any request to book hotels or anything else.
“A tentative of scam occurred today against at least a couple of our speakers/organizers. I would like to very quickly inform you in order to avoid any possible problem. In substance, somebody claiming to act in the name of a local chain of hotels contacts the persons listed in the [official CRM] webpage of the conference (by e-mail, or by phone) to solicit an hotel reservation. This is indeed a way to grab important personal and confidential data. To avoid problems, do not share any information with them. In particular, do not give out personal info or credit card info if you receive a call for hotel booking.
In order to book your accommodation, you will be assisted by the staff of the CRM, and this is usually done by e-mail. More information about the accommodation will be given in appropriate time (and soon). But I prefer to send you this unpleasant message immediately right now.
For any question, do not hesitate to write to me or to the CRM . ”
We have added two new speakers to our list of confirmed speakers, Professors Urs Hartl (University of Münster, Germany) and Masanobu Kaneko (Kyushu University, Japan).
We have just received a generous grant from the National Security Agency (https://www.nsa.gov/) that will fund our participants from the United States.
We have a new confirmed speaker: Ariel Shnidman (Boston College, USA), and we have added a new sponsors page with grateful acknowledgement to six sponsors so far; see the menu above for this new page.
